Registration for our Fall, 2014 courses and trips is underway.

We welcome you to the Glen Rock Community School Fall Semester, 2014. We hope you enjoy browsing through our brochure of courses, trips and shows.

We're again offering many after-school activities for children including Telling Tales Fantasy Writing, Keyboarding, Clay Creations, Mad Science and private instrument lessons. Evening and Saturday programs for children include Boys and Girls Basketball clinics, Little Ball Handling Wizards for Grades K-2, Coed Speed Training, and the new Nothing But Net Shooting Clinic. Our Ballet School is back for its 34th year.
Classes for adults include The Basics of Investing, Guitar, American Sign Language, Tips for Your Online Business, Savvy Social Security Planning, Powerpoint, Quickbooks, Ballroom Dancing, How to Face the Job Market and Be Successful, Riding the Caregiver Rollercoaster, Intro to Poker, Digital Photography, French, Italian, Square Dancing, Yoga and Zumba.
Senior classes include Writing your Memoir’s, the new BOSU Exercise Class, Standing Pilates, Zumba Gold and various Bridge classes.
Theater goers can enjoy trips and tix to “Beautiful,” "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder," "Wicked," and "Phantom of the Opera" matinee with lunch. We've expanded our lineup of daytime trips in the tri-state area to include a tour of the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Chrysanthemum Festival at Longwood Gardens, Secrets of Grand Central Station and the Rockefeller Christmas tree, the Culinary Institute Tour and Lunch along with a fall foliage Hudson River Cruise, a Tour of Winterthur including Downton Abbey Costume Exhibit, and many more. 

Extended trips will travel near and far to Branson, Mo., Boston, New York Finger Lakes, Cape Cod and Savannah, S.C.

Catalog Updates Since Aug. 18
Boston Trip Dates
The extended trip to Boston, Salem and the North Shore will now run from Friday, June 5 to Monday, June 8, 2015.
"Memoirs" cancellation
The course "Writing Your Memoirs" (page 31 of the catalog) is being cancelled due to a conflict with the instructor's schedule.
Instrument Lessons
Private Instrument Lessons run for 10 weeks, beginning the week of Sept. 8 and ending the week of Nov. 10.
American Sign Language
American Sign Language - Basic: Now ends Nov. 17.
Classic Pilates
Classic Pilates - Change of Start Date: Now begins Oct. 2.
"Beautiful" on Broadway
The first round of tickets for "Beautiful" - the Carole King Musical - is already SOLD OUT. HOWEVER, we are taking names for a waiting list for a second round of tickets. If you are interested, please call the office at 201-389-5011 and ask to be added to the waiting list.
